If one googles what is essentially Division 1 football there are something like 130 teams. If all fund the full 85 scholies, that is a player mass of over 11,000 players positions benefitting from the system today. How many of either players or schools will be in a worse or no position at all after this shakes out? I think a lot.

This is all pointing to the pro leagues and why would the "new college football' not be expected to look like the nfl does? I think the number of teams (30ish) and players is 40ish per team. that is between1,200 ish and 1,400 ish slots that would have no reason to be limited to 4 years of playing time vs 11,000 that do turn over after 4 years now.
